WTA – UPDATES AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

With another year passing at break-neck speed we have decided to get out the felt marker, make another line on the doorframe and show you how we have grown.
In 2008 we were listening and in 2009 we are growing! (of course we are still listening too). WTA is responding to your requests and evolving needs, so we will be offering some new services this year as well as fine-tuning some of the already existing services.

NEW LOCATION: WTA has moved into a new office located at 218 Adelaide Street West, suite 300, Toronto. We are very pleased to bring our services to a more convenient location and we would also like to thank the film and video production company FrameBlender for making room for us… We are very proud to call them close friends and neighbours!

NEW SERVICES: and after months of planning and discussion with the community, we have added Online PR and Booking branches to WTA!

Online PR - Today’s independent artists have a lot to do on their own. It is also the most competitive market the music industry has ever seen and the demand on the artist is certainly not diminishing. With the capable direction of WTA’s Patrick Goguen we can help you spread the word, increase your current fan base and launch your brand in new markets. There are many online vehicles that can be used to promote your art and WTA will work with you to choose correctly, streamline this workload and manage your time so that you can focus on your art again… We will try to remind you of the days before we all hooked our iPhones and Blackberrys directly to an I.V.

Booking – So you would like to tour, increase your exposure, represent your integral artistic values and play profitable shows. You want to find ways that will help you increase your audiences, and at the same time make everyone feel like they got a good deal… Well, we would like to introduce Chris Holroyde as the new WTA booking agent. We are very happy to have Chris on the team and he is getting things started right with his roster that so far includes Morning Electric (Toronto), Treasa Levasseur (Toronto) and FRED (Cork, Ireland). Stay tuned for more updates and tour schedules very soon.

CONTINUING OUR ORIGINAL APPROACH: Whether you are starting at ground level or about to launch your next world tour, we can help you prepare your art and business, reach your goals, employ original ideas for promoting your art, develop a larger fan base and help manage your workload. We have a number of ways to help you accomplish these goals but there is no single method that works for everyone, so call today to discuss what will work best for you.

Thank you for a hugely successful 2008!
Last year we tackled a number of development strategies for talented artists including Corin Raymond, Treasa Levasseur, Morning Electric, Pavlov’s Dogs Orchestra, Nate Daniels and many more. WTA has completed a music Video for Fighter/Lover and another is currently in production for Treasa Levasseur. We kick-started the enormously successful Outside The Box Youth Music Program. This was an uplifting project and we would like to thank Sway (The Hook), Jahmal Tonge (The Carps), Feist and all others involved for the incredible support. Now last but certainly not least, WTA is proud to present the film Larger Than Life, co-produced with Strong Road and Cineplex Entertainment for a cross-Canada release.

Please stay tuned for more updates and news from Working Title Artists!
