First, Patrick (of course) babbles; It's been a few days since Ann Vriend's When We Were Spies release, and we're still busier than ever. The release party was hugely successful - definitely a great time for all the folks who were there. Ann's performance with the band was off the charts! Edmonton and Calgary are definitely in for a treat with this new type of show. For those of you who prefer the intimate experience, not to worry, Ann has lots of solo shows coming up too! Karyn Ellis sparkled during her closing performance, and even rocked a 'spy dress' to commemorate the theme. Be sure to catch her solo shows or on the Girls With Glasses Tour. The DoneFors were even better than I thought they were going to be. I love when my expectations are exceeded, and this night was that in spades. Janine Stoll (lead vocals/guitar) even brought COOKIES - Homemade ones! They were MUCH better than her arsenic pie. I know the show is over, but I'm still not over it. Visit the links peppered throughout my ravings and you'll see why.
